Rose Hall Farm Logo

We have an excellent record of teaching horse riding, going back over 40 years. Our stables stand in 200 acres of beautiful farmland set well away from the roads and traffic. We have schooling ménages, show jumps, cross country fences and farm track and fields to ride on. During the summer months we offer a range of courses for both adult and junior riders.

£25 deposit secures your place. The balance is due 2 weeks before the start of the course, otherwise full payment is needed when booking.

Riding Courses

Adult Horse Riding Courses

Adult horse riding regulations:

During each day we ride for between two to three hours, normally in a class situation but sometimes on a one to one basis. The classes progress from basic riding through to dressage, show jumping and cross-country, according to the rider's ability, experience and confidence.

If you wish to improve your own horse or pony and would like to bring him with you, he may be stabled here for £10 per night. This price includes haylage but does not include bedding. Bedding will be charged as required.

All riders on our courses must wear a current British Standard approved hat (PAS015 or BSEN 1384). We prefer correct riding dress and boots. For jumping we require clients to wear body protectors to current BSI standard.

Our adult courses start at 10am, please arrive 9.30 - 10.00am, and finish at approximately 4.30pm. One hour is taken for lunch. There are some good pubs in the area serving lunches.

Teens horse riding regulations:

During each day we ride for roughly 2 hours in a class situation (usually 1 hr am & 1 hr pm). Throughout the day we practice stable management in the way of fun quizzes and “hands on”. All riders on the course must wear a current British standard approved hat PAS 015 or equivalent. We prefer correct riding dress and boots. For show jumping and cross country we require clients to wear body protectors to the current BSI standard.

If you wish to improve your own horse or pony and would like to bring him with you, he may be stabled here for £10 per night. This price includes haylage but does not include bedding, which will be charged as required.
